Weis Jr worked on Saban's staff as an offensive analyst. Kiffin raves about his intelligence and feel for the game, says he's ahead of his time.

See, why can't LSU tab guys like this? We need more young, bright minds.

Kiffin brought quite a few GAs and analyst from Saban's staff with him to FAU.

LSU doesn't need 24 year old coordinators, let them put in their time & prove themselves at a place like FAU first.

Well we could, if we had an offensive minded Head Coach. Bringing in a kid this green to have full control of the LSU offense would be a disaster waiting to happen.

Lane has the opportunity to make these decisions because he's probably the best offensive coordinator in college football. Might as well bring in someone smart and innovative to help bring in new ideas.

Yea your right we need 75 year old coordinators because they relate so well to the players and install a high potent 80 style offense lol

O says call me in 50 years and maybe we'll give you a shot sonnie. Also, can you fetch Jerry a Werther's Original?

It’s okay to be wrong. I can’t force you to be right.

Pairing someone like this with Ensminger would be genius. Then when he's ready to take over, we have someone that'll be in the fold for years. Instead we go with Mr. Magoo, who's a bandaid fix at best. Orgeron has zero foresight.

This kid is barely of drinking age and Saban had him on as an offensive analyst. That speaks volumes of what he must think of his potential.

Hiring a 24 year-old with that title is bold.

I totally approve of the Werther’s meme replacing the long serving barbeque meme.

I remember this kid as a goofy looking teenager on the Notre Dame sideline.

What exactly do you think an offensive analyst does? They don't call plays. They don't come up with the play book. They can't go to practices or be on the sidelines/in the box for games. Basically, they are glorified film watchers who give advice on what they see. I don't see how Saban is a genius for hiring him as an analyst. This is a very bold move by Kiffin because of the guys age and relative inexperience in play calling. Kiffin will more than likely end up calling the games.

Where did I say Saban was a genius for hiring him as an analyst? I just said he must think a lot of his potential to have such a young guy as an analyst.

I'm saying obviously he's highly thought of by his peers and that's the type of guy LSU needs to bring into the fold to grow the program, not 73 year old coaches who can't have much more left in the tank.
