At this point with how Kiffin has handled all of this, I’m not really as upset at the thought of him leaving now. I mean yeah it would suck don’t get me wrong. But how he has gone about this and the timeline of it all is just incredibly unprofessional and screws over the fanbase, players and boosters who have you everything you ever asked for to make it happen

I could see the fans and boosters being upset but in this NIL era there is no player loyalty now they play for money. I don't think most of them care as much who their coach is anymore all they care about is that NIL package and will hop in portal year after year chasing it. I mean players had zero relationship with BK and they still came out the portal to LSU ...and why because they are getting paid to play for him not be his friend

If he’s actually leaving, I’m not sure how he could have handled it differently. I’d argue he’s handled it pretty well, considering ole miss is 4-0 since these distractions started. He’s in a tough spot as I’m sure he would want to see the season through but can’t pass up at an opportunity at LSU or UF.

However, if he’s staying he’s a dumbass for causing unnecessary distractions when he just needs to sign an extension or publicly come out and say he will be there next year.

There are reports that it’s finally gotten into the locker room at Ole Miss and we had our worst practice of the year by far today.

If he does stay, he may have caused too much damage to repair his relationship with players, boosters and the administration

This is a great example of why I say "I dont want Kiffin at LSU." Obviously, he is a very good coach. He may even be great. But, there is always this side of him that I think will keep him from being a championship coach. If he does come to LSU, of course I will be happy. But, there will always be that part of me thinking "when is Lane gonna Lane?"

It may be if you are using someone's private jet to do it.

Uh, not take a job while your current team is going to the college football playoff. It’s not hard
It actually kinda is. The layout of the early signing period and transfer portal needs to be changed. The timing of both makes it hard for any coach that is going to make the playoffs to even entertain another job offer. Its bad for the playoff team and the college looking for a coach. There's really no easy way timing wise for that said coach to do the right thing. And I'm not specifically talking LSu or OM here. I am a Tiger fan first but I always pull for the Rebs. Good luck with whatever happens.

If he wants to take the lsu or uf job, this is kind of how he has to go about it. Timelines dont really allow for him to coach ole miss through the playoffs unfortunately

If it’s already effecting the team and he loses the egg bowl, and he decides to stay.. they’re going to want his head for creating this mess. Especially if for some reason a loss keeps them out of the playoffs.

The longer he waits, the worse it is for Ole Miss... it could all be a master plan for him to bounce at the last second. Who really knows though, the guy’s cryptic as hell

This is why I believe 100% he is gone. Don’t know where he goes. But I think he has flirted with the pretty girl directly in the face of Ole Miss. if he does stay the relationship is forever damaged

If LSU hires him, he'll do this to them within 4 years. He'll flirt with NFL jobs, University of Texas, Alabama, etc.

I don't disagree.

It's starting to warm me up to Dillingham, because if we can pull him from his alma matter, the threat of him leaving for another program is much lower.

But I've been in the "Kiffin is going to cost too much" camp since this all started. I was one of the big Kiffin believers years ago and wished we had hired him instead of Kelly, but it's different now, for multiple reasons.

Not sure if people realize he has done this every year so far

This is why Id prefer LK stay at OM or go to UF. Wherever he ends up will have to deal with this type of BS more than a few times until he inevitably leaves for an NFL job or another shiny object.
