Continue to be ignorant. Good luck with Freeze or Grimes. Maybe even Cadillac when the fanbase gets all in a frenzy over lane then wants the Family pick. I'll be sure to bump this between the Egg Bowl and Iron Bowl.

What exactly are you going to bump?

You putting words in my mouth saying Kiffin is coming 1000000% and Ole Miss fans are stupid?

Whether we get Lane or not here is the reality of the OM program. The last time y’all won a SEC title whites and blacks were using separate water fountains. You hung a banner for a SEC West title even though you didn’t go to ATL.

I am but I have family from Phenix City/ Columbus. We moved when I was little. Thank God. I just understand why Lane would never want to live in that part of the world.

Why is that relevant anyway? We will know who is right. Lane is the coach at Auburn or yall say "he was never a candidate. It was a smokescreen for X." Ive seen this 4-5 times in the last 3 years.

Ark
Miami
Oregon
LSU
Florida

Now

Auburn

No we won’t. Unless he actually does take the Auburn job.

He could be our number 1 and we miss but there would be no way to know.

Never trust rumors in a coaching change. The “smokescreen” bullshite people spew afterwards just gives them a reason to not say “well I never knew shite and was BSing the whole time”.

There are people that are right time after time. They have a track record. Those are the people I trust. People that work for click bait fan sites aren't the ones to trust.

Read this article.

OutKick article

Same guy who wrote this earlier in the year

Outkick Lane article from August

This guy has as much inside information on Lane as anyone.

He won’t know who Auburn offered/didn’t offer.

Trust no one in coaching searches. I’m telling you. I won’t believe anybody is Auburn’s coach until they’re coming out with press releases or physically on a jet with fans on the tarmac waiting for him.

What does being fired in two or three years by some three stooge style boosters do for his resume? That is the main reason I see Kiffin staying put. No amount of assurances other a lifetime bar of said boosters from setting foot on campus would give me enough assurance if I was Kiffin to consider the job. Short of that, I likely tell them to take their job and shove it.

"I say all of this and the guy could end up taking the Auburn job after the final game of the regular season on Thanksgiving day."

People like Kiffin don’t let the possibility of them failing enter their mind. When you are in a big time profession and an opportunity like this comes along turning it down is the riskiest move. FYI according to Chris Lowe, ESPN, Auburn NIL fund is 10x larger than OM according to his sauces.

He’s not going to get 3-4 years to win a NC. If he hasn’t won and played in multiple it’s a failure in your fans eyes.

You’ve won what 5 of the last ten? Played in 7 and the years you missed you played in one of the big four bowls.

You’re fan base won’t let it develop for a few years. Any step back will be met with fury. Hell there is a segment that wants Saban fired or to clean house now.

Because you have a very nearsighted view of how perfect the Bama job is versus all others. And you also for some reason think that Ole Miss’s recent success (marred by a cheating scandal under Freeze BTW) is by any means the norm.

Auburn is miles better of a job than Ole Miss. For college coaches with championship aspirations, it’s one of the 15 or so programs in the country that provides that opportunity. In the last 12 years alone, Auburn has more national championship appearances than Ole Miss has in its lifetime.

Why are you so salty. The people you are arguing with are not saying Lane is a done deal, just that it is not as crazy as you are trying to make it sound.

Why moved to another stepping stone job when he doesn't need too?

If AU controls their boosters, they are a destination job, far from a stepping stone.

Huge passionate fanbase
Facilities
$$$$
Recruiting grounds

Only hesitation is history of booster over involvement.

I know Alabama's history of booster involvement kicking us in the balls, so in no way am I living in a glass house.

One of Saban's best achievements was bringing those guys to heel.

Honestly, I still wonder how many more championships Alabama would have had if some of the money people did not like Bobby Bowden.

Recruiting grounds

In the current climate of the 2 biggest powers in college football on either side of them, is this accurate? It is no coincidence that Auburn has been down while Bama and UGA have been up.

Are they getting half of Alabama and half of Georgia like they used too? How much are they dominating the panhandle of Florida with Florida and FSU being down?

This is a serious question. I have an idea but no factual evidence to back it up.
