Whoever had 2:30-3:30 in the “What time will Sumlin’s firing be announced” pool is about to win big.

Post 1998 season: Even if Oklahoma did improve, they will never be consistently successful with Texas A&M, Texas, and Texas Tech in the same division. It's a really bad spot to be in for a program trying to establish itself.

Lol Yes, because A&M, Texas, and Texas Tech are on par with LSU, Alabama, and Auburn. Oklahoma had a long history of success before then that A&M just doesn't have

If you are saying that Oklahoma and aTm are similar then you're a tad delusional. Oklahoma and Alabama are similar. Aggies are more similar to Miss St.

Aggies may one day land a coach that can achieve Saban level success, but its doubtfull. Those coaches are few and far between and they seem to gravitate to the blue blood schools.

If it was as easy as opening the checkbook Saban wouldnt be at bama and urban wouldnt be at Ohio St

Where was LSU prior to Saban? Florida prior to spurrier?

One good hire can change everything. If A&M had got the hire after Slocum right we wouldn’t even be having this conversation.

In other words...if Bill Byrne was allowed to make the call (Urban Meyer) and not Lowery Mays (Dennis Franchione).

Scott Woodward is an LSU guy and an old friend of mine. He isn’t even sniffing Les Miles.
