LSU only had one official NC before Saban, but several SEC titles and a lot of very consistent winning. The 90s was the only extended run of poor play in program history.

LSU vs Texas A&M

Hmmm, wonder what these numbers looked like in 2000?

That’s including A&M wandering the wilderness as a small all male military school from wwii until the 70s.

LSU is a better program than A&M, but pretending it’s set in stone is naive and wishful thinking. 2 of the top 3 championship programs are in the Ivy League brother. History has diminishing importance each year.

He could sure do worse. I think they should put the band back together with Les singing lead and The Chief on bass.

I agree with that and I’m a Les fan. But Scott is too well connected to LSU for better or worse.

Sumlin will do well elsewhere, he's not a bad HC

Perfect is the enemy of good.

Right now and for the last few years, we have not been good at all. There is no reason that we should not expect to win two of those three games consistently each year. We should also have a program that isn’t worried the Mississippi schools literally every year.

Based on your post, I’m better you weren’t an LSU fan prior to 2000. If you were, you would know better.

1938-1958
1974-1983
1989-1999

You should probably look at your teams history over these years.

FWIW, I just read that Rivals is reporting the contract offer from Texas A&M to Jimbo Fisher will be $75 million over 10 years ($7.5 million per year).

My apologies if that’s broken record info.

10 years is what he countered to LSU with last year, and that’s when Alleva took his ball and went home.

Texas A&M needs to realize that the success they had early in the SEC with Johnny Manziel, was because of Johnny manziel. It will never be replicated. A&M will always be just a mediocre Big 12 school that will never be successful in the SEC. If they couldn’t do it with Manziel, they can’t do it with anybody. Sorry Aggies.

All of grandpa's money and a Heisman couldn't help him once he crossed that Sabine river. He was just Tiger bait.

All of Houston's success when Sumlin was HC was 100% due to Dana Holgorsen and Case Keenum.

He was totally IOHH at a7m..........

I realize Chip Kelly’s is going to coach UCLA, but I think Coach Sumlin could have done well there.
