Just wondering... If Yaw Yaw ran the table would you want him retained?

Wins out and gets us in Atlanta... Would YOU keep him or go hire someone?

I wouldn't mind. Bring in a top OC, and I'd be ok.

go hire someone else. Orgeron winning with Les' team doesnt tell me a whole lot.

ETA - however, if he ran the table and won the SEC, he'd definitely be retained, i just wouldnt be very happy about it.

No question he's hired.

But that won't happen.

He would have to be retained or it would be viva la revolucion'. I think it would be fine. Even if he flamed out , O would have the roster absolutely stacked for his replacement.

It's been said before. He did not build this team, and it's still tough to tell if he can build another team that would be that good.

Really not interested in keeping O as head coach. You don't fire Les Miles to hire Ed Orgeron. That's a downgrade.

I don't want him as HC under any circumstances and most people
I know agree.
He's a novelty. LSU doesn't need a novelty as HC.

I don't think he's a long term option. He's a high energy guy that will do well in his stint as an interim.

Nice try, Alleva. We're not making the decision for you.

I like Coach O. I'd love for it to work out this way, but that's a very large IF. I don't buy into it being someone else's team so it doesn't count, you can't tell me Yaw Yaw wouldn't be able to bring in the best of the best.

Nope, nope, nope.

If Yaw Yaw goes 8-0 it would simply justify the Miles firing. We would all know that Miles and Cam had woefully underperfomed with the talent on the past two rosters. I would still go after choices 1 and 2 and throw all the money we have at them. If we strike out, then Ogeron would become a possibility if he finished the season with a great run.

It seems you are thinking this may happen as you have said it a few times. I am hoping Herman says yes or Jimbo is willing to come even after what happened last year.

No way. I think his act would grow very tired quickly. We just got rid of one coach who was better at being "entertaining" than he was at being a solid coach. No need to go pick up another one.

Yes and I'll tell you why. Bebe gets the job and retains current staff with addition of a proven OC. Recruiting will be easy and probably better with new said OC. We would win championships with Bebe running the show no doubt.

if Coach O wins out, wins the SEC, wins the Big 6 bowl game...he is definitely our head coach....3 year deal though. I don't want to get locked into a 5 year deal.

ETA: if he wins a national championship, he automatically becomes the highest paid coach in the SEC and get 5 years.
