There were people outside of this board who said there was real smoke. Official offers aren’t given until the coach is ready to sign.

It’s prolly the truth as well. LSU and Riley prolly had some communication but he went a different direction before an offer was made. Happens all the time and you can’t fault anybody involved unless LSU is starting from scratch today…which they aren’t.

The national media guys, who have been right about all of this from the start, said Riley chose LSU over USC.
Dellenger said LSU made a serious run at Riley.
No, we never formally "offered", because Riley used us as leverage behind the scenes with USC and we got burned at the last minute.
