Surely, LSU can do better than Bo Pelini. I realize that a man can make a mistake, but a least he could acknowledge that mistake and apologize. To my knowledge, Bo has done neither. That says volumes about the man. If I am wrong on this, please correct me.

We could also do a whole lot worse.

Pelini would probably be just fine. He wouldn't be elite, but he'd be pretty good.

I think he's a "high floor" kind of hire.

ETA:

Yes we should be going for elite. I'm just saying, the melt for Golding or someone like that should be much bigger.

I don’t see the problem with this at all. Coaches talk this kind shite all the time at these events. I don’t want fans actually calling plays

What an absurd thing to hold against him

One freakin’ play in a meaningless Bowl Game. And coaches don’t do this stuff all the time, at least not coaches of high honor. Don’t make promises you don’t intend to keep. It says a lot about the man’s character and trustworthiness.

Bro it was a joke that the guy took way too seriously and the media ran with it.

And those bowl games can make or break a coach. They aren’t meaningless to those guys.

It’s frankly just silly to get your parties in a wad over this.

ETA and guess what? The Coaching profession is filled with scrum bags. Most of them are shitty people. Grow the frick up

Don’t tell me to grow up, sonny. You need to grow up and realize that being a real man means keeping your word on all things, both big and small.

football is a cut throat world with a lot of money on the line. You don't refuse a hire based on a coach lying or hurting someone's feelings. Pull your freakin panties up and act like an adult.

Then don’t promise it to someone at a public event to make yourself look good.

Have you ever been to one of the events? That’s all they do man. It’s all PR. Every coach in the country does this kind of shite. Everyone knows it’s not serious

Maybe Moscona will ask him about it for you.

Forgive and move on.

Did you even read the article? Sounds like it was more than just Bo throwing out some random off-the-cuff comment. Apparently, a bunch of people took it seriously.

I'll let Coach O know you think he's making a mistake.

Word is he's been waiting to hear from you since he canned Matt Canada.
