So tell me this ...

What about all these Walmart LSU fans intentionally or unintentionally defending Alleva saying:

“Jimbo doesn’t want to leave that cushy ACC to compete with Saban every year!”

Hmmm ... must have been another reason he’s not at LSU, eh?

Maybe a spineless and ball-less AD?

Someone posted where they are really paying much more for Jimbo 7M for his buyout 10M to Sumlin 7.5 next year to Jimbo

All that money and they still won't win anything. The SEC west aint the ACC and Jimbo proved this year that he is not that great even with talent. Wow 7.5 million for 10 years. Unreal

Over paid, and 10 years if true is absurd and will be a disaster.

Worth it - say he wins nine on average.

Saban is the only college coach worth that money right now.
Fisher won a watered down ACC the year he won that title.
Other than that he's been pretty average.
Multiple national titles is the only end goal that would make this deal worth it.

Or maybe this is the year that he can't extort more money out of FSU and his stock is taking a drop with most programs that aren't as desperate and well-endowed as Texas A&M?

Can you not see the circumstances are 180 from where they were when LSU offer was sent?

A&M isn’t getting that caliber of a coach without spending out of their arse.

Nobody is, Jimbo has a top-5 resume and the other 4 all make $7+ million a year with incentives.

That's the price for a proven championship caliber coach

Les Miles wasn't worth that neither was Gene Chizik.

Both won National Championships.

Did Larry Coker, Mack Brown and Gene Chizik turn you down before you snagged Jimbo?

I am not one of them, but it is well known the money that UT and A&M have.

I should type this everytime.

quote:

Fisher would be just the fourth head coach to leave a school where he has won an AP national championship and go directly into another college job. The last to do it was Johnny Majors, who went from Pittsburgh to Tennessee in 1977.

LINK

Johnny Majors didn't win after going back to his alma mater.

Ole Miss getting hit and State losing Mullen leaving State might help A&M get closer to SEC Title.

Aggies Footbal game 2 next year @ home will tell us alot.

LSU may go 6-6 next year. I think it’s highly likely your on the carousel next year.

If Jimbo is worth 10 years 75 million, which alot of these lsu and aggie posters seem to think he is, what is the following coach worth:

11-2
11-2-
12-2-National champ
8-5
9-4
11-2
13-1-National runner up
10-3
10-3
8-5
10-3
2-2

Jimbo's record for reference

10-4
9-4
12-2
14-0-National champ
13-1
10-3
10-3
5-6
