It's as obvious as all hell, to anyone paying attention and with a shred of common sense, that this WILL happen.

The closest thing I can think of is when Tubbs abandoned a bunch of recruits at the dinner table to take the Cincinnati job.

As long as Sexton is involved, there’s a better than 50% chance he stays put

None that I can think of, but I also don't remember any regular season games being rescheduled to take place a week after the season was supposed to end.

It happens now and then. A&M and Bama had to do it once back in the late 80s. I'm sure it happens every so often with coastal schools.

He won't quit before the season unless FSU asks him to go ahead and step aside. I think that's what is going to happen. At this point, his presence at that last game would be a problem.

Because .......

i believe this to be 100% correct, but that's just me.

money and resources aside, Woodward is likely the more football forward AD of the 2, and is less likely to embarrass the school and its program like Alleva's done so recently.

Official Sunday although the "unofficial" will be leaked before then. And for some reason we'll let him coach Saturday so he can soothe his ego by not finishing with a losing season.

A&M. Not because I would be fearful of him, but because I know he deserves more respect than that. He's better than A&M and honestly I'd be a bit puzzled at why he chose to turn down LSU but take A&M's offer.

I think this just proves there was legit interest in jimbo's part and Alleva botched the hire. It's also plausible that fsu fought to keep him so he stayed and after this year they aren't as crazy about keeping him between his record this year and rumors of him leaving every season.

F. King Alexander did! Alleva's hands were tied when the liberal pos LSU president shot it down.

Petrino would be the closest.

A&M would still be a great fit for Jimbo anyway IMO. I still think he's a tremendous coach. I wish he would have went to LSU, and I think it's a better fit than A&M, but dipshit Alleva fricked it up badly in 2015, and when we wanted him again in 2016, Jimbo had enough and gave him the middle finger. I don't blame him actually. I wouldn't want to work with a brainless, incompetent AD either. A&M will give him what he wants too and they actually have an AD he's close to and knows what he's doing. A&M will do just fine with Jimbo. Good for them if he does go there.

Well said. Seems true too. The two years LSU wanted him FLorida State fought for him since their program was still elite. Now that they have had a forgettable season, seems like they are fighting for him less, and may not mind seeing him go, since his name is always in coaching searches every year.

Latest update says, thankfully, that we are now discussing the Jimbo coaching Saturday matter. And that Taggart could be wrapped up by early next week.
