It would be so anticlimactic.

Personally, I believe it's Lincoln Riley. Too many smokes not to be a fire.

I just don't think very highly of JF.

Not worth the price he would command to beat out his current contract.

We are seeing peak Jimbo. Riley is still growing as a coach. Riley has a higher ceiling.

It’s not an exciting hire, but far from a bad one

I agree. Jimbo is good at mediocre Aggy where a few big wins keeps them happy. LSU is another level.

Disagree. IMO, he has NOT peaked yet.

How many HC gigs has he had? Two?

For example, Satan had 3 before he REALLY got the machine fine-tuned.

No it wouldn't. It would be a very good, if not great hire.

One idiot makes a thread trolling saying it's Jimbo, and you decide to make a whole thread telling us Jimbo would be a bad hire. Why?

You really believe everything you read on here? Jimbo isn't coming here.

Yeah, hiring a guy who goes to the playoffs every year from a top 10 program and a coach in his late 30s is so blah

If Riley isn’t an exciting hire, then such a hire doesn’t exist

I think after the initial disappointment we’d appreciate his general competence coming off the last 2 regimes.

He understands the importance of the line of scrimmage but also comes from a QB coach background. And he recruits. He would probably win big here.

Would be the only thing to unite the Arandites and the Rileyvillians

I would emphatically rather Riley. But anyone who doesn’t see the monster that jimbo is building with his last few class is crazy. Just the d line alone he has pulled will make it a stout defense. You guys will be bitching when he has some good teams coming up.

Jimbo and his offense will be perpetually 9-3, 10-2 on a good year

The melt is going to be Richter Scale levels if it's Fisher and not Riley
