He's never called plays.

He's ILB coach. He's calling plays for the whole D?

The Patriots don't have a listed DC. The current HC of the Dolphins Flores was calling plays and was never the DC. Patriots are weird like that.

Will be a major DC candidate in the pros in a year or two.

He’s still pretty green. Only in his second year coaching and is on a pretty nice fast track to an NFL job as he moves up the ladder so this seems unlikely

I think unofficially he is doing it with BB overseeing it. I wouldn’t be shocked if he gets promoted to DC.

These people think Bo Pelini is old.
He may suck, but it's not because he's 52. I personally think 45-55 is prime coaching years.

Well lets hire Bill's son.

Steve Belicheck is the main play caller currently. He was splitting duties early last season but Steve took over.

Fun fact: CEO was the lead recruiter to get Mayo to sign with the Vols.

Wrong. But he was coached at UT by John Chavis so that's a fun fact for LSU fans to consider.

How is that possible? Mayo was class of 2004. Orgeron only coached at UT in 2009. He was in Los Angeles when Mayo was coming out of high school.

Yeah, I'm mis-remembering Jerod Askew's recruitment, not Mayo.
