I wouldn't be upset with Traylor.

quote:
“Bjork interviewed Traylor for 90 minutes on a Zoom call, a conversation that lasted an hour longer than had been scheduled.”
“Neither Bjork nor Traylor returned phone messages Thursday night.”
So the interview was originally only scheduled for 30 minutes? For the top available job on the market? I mean I've had staff level corporate interviews last longer than 30 minutes

quote:That's Jimmy Sexton, or whoever is Traylor's agent, talking him up. Take that with a grain of salt.

There have reportedly been at least 6 different candidates interviewed so far. This isn’t groundbreaking.
Traylor (or his agent) is just the only one who has dished about it.

Why? He will lock down Texas for y’all

quote:No, he won't. He also has zero ability to recruit outside of Texas. That, and a whole other host of problems not covered here ...

It is unbelievable that aTm would pay $77 million to Jimbo without having a home run hire already locked up.
I mean, why not give Jimbo another year and keep working back channels until you hit the coaching jackpot?

Why does everyone assume this is true? Was he pulling in 4 and 5* talent to Arkie or Baylor? Does pulling in 3* instead of 2* to UTSA translate to anything at an SEC level?
I mainly don’t like him because his resume without Frank Harris is between nonexistent and garbage. Considering he’s 55 that don’t impress me much.

Read the ESPN story on Fisher, yet? Fisher had to go ...

For that kind of money, you could take your pick of 20 of the top recruits in the country for four straight years

Traylor is angling for jobs. His agent is using the noise to get Baylor or UH's attention. A&M isnt hiring him.

Aggies doing Aggie things. Gonna pass up a real home grown ball coach for a what? Name? Flash in the pan? I hope yall do pass on him so Arkansas can hire him.

Shouldn't take but a minute.
AD: We don't know who to hire, but we have boosters with cash falling out of their pockets, so we choose you.
Coach: More cash and I'm in. Plus a guaranteed $75M when you fire me after 2 years.
AD: Done.

Didn’t y’all do that already with Chad?

Huge difference between Traylor and Chad. I could spell it out for you but not sure you would understand.

He wants the job. There are a host of issues with this guy but here is the bottom line. Traylor was born and raised in burnt orange, and his dream job is Austin. That is where he wants to be and if he actually is successful, he will jump at the first opportunity and take his entire team with him on the way out the door. Think Lincoln Riley and the OU exodus.
The man actually used his son as a plant to torpedo A&M recruiting and work behind the backs of the coaches. He is one of THSCA's own, but there are quite a few coaches in the state that won't even let him in the door. He is the absolute worst hire that A&M could make, and that comes from Texas alumni I trust. They are all rooting for us to hire him and "try him out" for them.
