How can you even lulz after your guys thought giving Chiz that extension/buyout was a good idea? And don't pretend most sane people weren't thinking Chiz was a one trick Cam show- anyone who watched your season without auburn colored glasses pretty much knew that.

AU is better than Arky, and it's not even debatable.

I think it's easily debatable.

As long as Pat Dye has his hand in everything at the barn it's very debatable.

You guys have been investigated so often there's going to be an Auburn CSI spinoff. You just fired your head coach 2 years removed from a National Championship. Sure, Auburn is in fertile recruiting ground, but "not even debatable" - really?

that's the thing i'm sure they most want to lay their claim to supremacy on- their nc's. well one was 50 years ago and the other evokes immediate thoughts of chiz and getting canned 2 years later. toss in the ncaa investigation and the aub job doesn't really sound like such a beauty to me.

the Auburn job would rank 3rd out of the 4 openings this year. I think firing a coach after winning a NC is easily understandable, with the state of the team. I would guess that even Saban and Miles would expect to be fired if they went 3-9 and 0-8 in the SEC.

But, add the NCAA investigation and having to compete against a coach who is two wins away from winning 3 NCs in 4 years, and Auburn is extremely unattractive right now. Then, add in the unprofessional-ism of not even doing a professional search for a head coach? Yeah, Auburn isn't looking to hot currently.

i'm really hoping for Arkansas and Tennessee that they make really solid hires. Y'all aren't going to land anyone like Peterson, Patterson, Stoops, Gruden, etc. But, there are some guys who have had success like Saban and Miles had before LSU that would be good fits.

It'll be interesting to see if Arky finally hires a coach with a defensive background, or if y'all stick with an offensive coach.

Ok. I gave my opinion on how the openings line up. You are stating as if by fact that Auburn is the best opening in the SEC. Do you not remembering hiring a head coach with a 5-19 record with 10 straight losses the last time you had to hire a coach?

What's so different this time?
