Aranda with grimes and mateos would kill at lsu.
I wouldn't hate that hire. You would have to have a good oc like grimes.

It’s not like there wasn’t good reason at times. He could recruit linemen, but he wasn’t much of a technical coach or developer. The Auburn fans warned us about that when he was hired and they weren’t wrong.
Grimes being a better OC than OL Coach doesn’t mean we were all wrong to want him gone at the time.

This whole board is full of people with short selective memories. I feel sad for anyone trying to please this crowd. Aranda is now the one they love, never mind, during a perfect national championship season they were demanding his head. Now he's the one that got away. They'll be the same way whoever the next coach is. That is why LSU will not get the coach it NEEDS. If they're smart enough to be a good coach, they'd go elsewhere.

I'm old enough to remember when the entire LSU fanbase hated Grimes because of poor OL recruiting and performance.

Tiger have never liked an OL coach. Grimes, Stud, Searles we thought they all sucked.
