I don’t know what the obsession is with Lane on this board, but the elite programs do not consider him to be a serious candidate.

It’s Dan Lanning.

Norvell would be my second bet followed by Dabo at a distant 3rd.

Why Norvell?

Lenning is good prospect but we've all seen the hot coach end up being

"Eh"

Elite programs need to recognize that Kiffin has done something no one else has done at Ole Miss.

Kiffin is a great coach and has learned a lot from his previous jobs. He’s young and in the right spot could be a thorn in the side of the SEC.

Has he? How has he done anything different than he always has? I think he’s a hood coach but he’s who he’s always been and most big programs don’t like the sideshow that comes w him

To start, he hasn’t burnt every bridge in Mississippi like he did in Southern California or Tennessee with his mouth.

He burned bridges in Tennessee by leaving after a year. They loved him before that.

And his mouth is the one thing that has changed the least it’s probably gotten worse tbh

He can’t recruit worth shite, runs his mouth online, doesn’t play defense, takes huge risks, and has never won a big meaningful game.

He’s a much bigger risk than you make him out to be. Bama won’t touch that.

Whoever it is I feel sorry for the poor dumb bastard that takes the HC spot following Saban. That goober fanbase will be relentless. No matter what they do they are doomed

Lanning is too young. He’s also still figuring things out on the job. You need someone more experienced.

They are backing up a truck full of money at Meyer’s place as we speak, and trying to make him say no.

I’m not sure Urb would do as well in new NIL/Transfer portal era.

Whoever they hire needs to have a real plan on how to navigate that.

I’m glad its not Kiffin and Lanning is emerging as a top candidate.

Kiffin beat LSU and overachieved with the talent on his roster. Lanning has underachieved 2 years in a row
