Isn't Tom Herman just a new, shinier, Dan Mullen?

Same coaching tree.. young.. offensive mind.. coached Tebow.. etc, etc? I don't see the difference in the two, besides one likes to kiss his players.

Their record?
Herman has won a major bowl game.
Herman made Cardale Jones look good. Opposed to Dak and Tebow.

Or he could be Sumlin 2.0. Wins at Houston to get a better job.

that's because you haven't looked deep enough and are just trying to find some pattern to say AH HA, this guy is like that guy there fore he won't be any better/worse.
The biggest difference is Mullen was always with Meyer, Herman has an established resume as an OC at multiple stops BEFORE he worked with Meyer. That doesn't make him a can't miss but is different.

what scares me is someone is stupid enough to believe that is why Miles was hired and also apparently stupid enough to not realize Miles had a pretty good tenure

Except that Mullen has never come up with a game plan that eviscerated a Nick Saban defense utilizing a third-string QB.

why isn't miles being mentioned for every potential coaching position?
I would like to see CEO get the job just to prove how bad of a coach CLM was and he was just lucky to be hired by LSU

No
He's beat better teams with less and he's a far more balanced offensive mind in terms of run and pass
He's the perfect balance

I pray this is true...I hate ND with a passion and all this will do is solidify them as being garbage for years to come

because he isn't as good as he used to be.
He wasn't a terrible coach for a decade.

He had to contend with Urban Meyer and Tim Tebow at Florida, and finished with a 3-3 record against what everyone here will tell you is a much much better football coach.
