If woodward believes that keeping things under wraps makes it even 1% more likely that we get our guy--and it sure seems like he believes that--then I am A-OK with him keeping it under wraps.



Like... you're acting as though the only reason he's not saying anything is to troll the fanbase. That's not the case at all. For better or worse, he is clearly operating in the manner he believes is in LSU's best interest.


So this really comes down to whether you trust woodward. Honestly, it's fine if you dont trust him... But at least admit that *that* is your issue--not some stupid shite about not assuaging your concern with a statement of pointless optimism.


If woodward came out and said "you're gonna like this hire" would it make you feel better? If so, why? It's not like he's gonna come out and say "shite guys, we really fricked this up"

Would make things worse. It'd be like the scene in airplane where his nose keeps growing while telling the passengers there's nothing wrong. Not saying he'd be lying--he'd probably tell the whole truth--but fans hear things, make up their own conclusions, and start rumors based on nothing but their gut feelings. And then you have a bigger mess.
