Isn't the LSU fanbase important enough for Woodward to make a reassuring statement?

It seems a lot inconsiderate at this point for an official from LSU Football not to address justifiable concerns of the LSU fanbase. Why couldn't they make a statement such as "don't worry we have a great coach signed to a contract" How could such a statement jeopardize a legitimate hire? Maybe Woodward really did screw this one up?

Woodward, either good or bad, is conducting this search the way he wants to, and at this time, he owes no one on this board any sort of explanation.

No. You make the statement when the deal is done. He doesn’t owe the fanbase anything like an update. Just be patient and let the process play out.

They don't give a shite about the Tiger fanbase. Look at the concessions they offer.
