His coaching career has always been fascinating to me. He had Kansas - a program with an all-time losing record and who had not won a conference title since the 60s - ranked in the AP top ten with a BCS bowl win, and a couple years later he's fired, never to be a head coach again, basically because he was a complete a-hole to players and anyone else around him.

Yea supposedly he is an enormous a-hole in the metaphorical as well as literal sense.

I seriously think the fact he's such a fat frick has kept him from getting another job. I wouldn't want to see his gross arse waddling up and down the sidelines of Tiger Stadium.

A head football coach winning tons of games and BCS bowl was getting parking tickets by the university police. Do you think Saban, Orgeron, Dabo, Lincoln Riley, Herman, or many others are getting tickets on their campus? Because he is a huge dick.

He retired in 2016. He had a history of verbal assaults on players dating back to his high school coaching days. In 2007 Kansas Raimond Pendleton returned a punt fo a touchdown and leaped into the endzone and received a 15 yard penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct. When he got to the sidelines Mangino cussed him pretty good and it made the rounds on local TV and youtube. To be honest it wasn't as bad as Pelini lighting up Taylor Martinez.

Funny part about him being dismissed was he had a huge amount of parking tickets on KU campus. He apparently would cuss out the ticket writers. The University used this as part of their case against him. Can you imagine Saban getting a parking ticket at Alabama...lol.

Still think somebody should take a look at Mangino.

How about Mangino at Arkansas, with Charlie Weis at OC?

Football needs some more barrel-chested coaches like the days of yesteryear. They add to the ambiance of the game.
