They are in the AAC.

They lost to Navy, SMU, and Memphis.

They aren't going to be in the top 25 on Monday.

Despite the losses and not being in the top 25 there are 2 big schools wanting their head coach and he will probably double the salary they are paying him.

As a mid-major, they are used to the feeling--or should be.

Well they're the ones who chose to be Houston Cougars. All 40,000 of them who don't feel their stadium.

Fwiw I ran into a UH booster in the airport today and he stated that Herman to LSU is all but a formality. The guy was rich as shite and bought me a few round of drinks in the bar while we bull shitted

I even asked him about Texas and he told me he doesn't believe he's even interested in Texas. It was basically what someone else said earlier in the week Texas is a bigger shite show than we all think.

U of H is a commuter school. They don't have much in terms of school spirit. Not a lot of those 40k will cry over this

I get all of this but there is a certain amount of humor that an American Athletic Conference school with 3 losses is having their coach poached by big schools.

There was a time when someone like Herman wouldn't have gotten a look from a big school with 3 losses like this.

Desperate times and all...

He had 1 loss when we hired him. Then they lost the conference championship after word got out.

We would never hire a UH coach with 3 losses. Just wouldn't happen.

Meh, hermans a rich man's kingsbury. They'll get over it. They got interested in football again cause Houston throws it 65 times a game. He also gave up 500 yds regularly so it made for interesting football for coug fans.

In all fairness, then, Herman didn't start losing until the LSU job opened.

The beat Oklahoma by 10 and embarrassed Louisville last week.

Let that sink in.

They can take solace, since they are in better position than A&M.
