Remind me where Jim Harbaugh coaches now? I don’t think it’s in the state where he grew up or at the school he played for anymore.

If Lane doesn't work out, I think things will go wild. Joey McGuire I think is where the needle may stop.

I really don't see much of a chance in this happening, regardless of the Egg Bowl outcome. I understand the "nerves" given Kiffin and all the other "variables" but I really think we are "worst-casing" this. I say there is less than 1% chance Kiffin remains at Ole Miss after Friday.

10 years ago, pretty much this same day, Les Miles was done at LSU. He knew it, Alleva knew it, the players knew it, aggy knew it, the governor knew it.

Then he beats Aggy and fricking Alexander had a political moment.

LOL. Harbaugh has a show cause order suspending him from his next season of college football.

He didn’t play at ASU
He went to school there when he was coaching hs football

And yes he would come for enough money and a chance to win a NC

I’ll bet you he won’t be at that school in 10 years from now

You're probably right, he'll likely be fired after setting the playoff expectation so high. He's not leaving because of NIL funding. That's a lazy take

I know people say this is a Top 5 job but I think the list of coaches that would come here is slimmer than people think.

Dillingham wouldn't come here. This place requires a "fit". We should have learned that by now.

how does lane fit here but not dillingham. I feel like he'd be a good fit

Living in Mississippi I can assure you a very large number of fans and boosters will riot if he stays....plus he will look like a fool in the media for this whole circus if he stays.

I think some people on this board need to go outside and enjoy some fresh air. If Lane does not come, LSU will be fine.

Kenny Dillingham ( my personal number 1 selection) could be (should be already vetted and talked to) a choice.

If not, they can go the coordinator route. My top choice of coordinators is Glenn Schumann (UGA DC). He could bring back the physicality that has been missing from LSU. I think he could replicate what Lanning has done at Oregon. Plus it would not cost as much and he does great with LBs.

LSU will be fine and get a coach who wants to coach here

I'm not sure he does honestly. I'm not completely sold.

I think Golesh was probably the best of the available lot.

I don’t think we’re in any trouble with Nick Saban.

The only question/concern is who takes over in 2-4 years.

Naw we’re fine and there’s still some candidates out there anyways. We could even steal someone that has just been hired if we needed to. Contracts take a while to sort out and be official.
