Joe Brady!

Brady is about to become the permanent OC for Buffalo or a HC position. He ain’t coming back to CFB.

Eh, it think the wrong wording was used. Sloan has earned it, and he is capable.

Deserving is just isn't the right term to use. DA deserved the Saints HC. He'll, Pete Carmichael deserved the Saints HC job, neither of them earned it nor are they capable.

Agreed. Joe Brady caught the first flight out to the NFL after 2019. He’s not coming to Baton Rouge. Besides NFL OCs sometimes don’t do well in the college game. It’s a completely different approach. Brady just had the mystique of bringing success in college to the NFL. It’s been a bumpy ride with that. NFL defenses are more similar to college in that they always try to get pressure with 4, try to maintain strict gap integrity, and mix coverages depending on down and distance.

Kelly is going to be the OC and HC now. That’s why they haven’t hired anyone yet.

Bruh. He was the OC at LSU in 2019. Greatest offense of all time and all that. Record breaking offense, heisman, and the chip.
He’e still doing his thing now with the Bills.
LSU already has elite recruiters for offensive coaches. He wouldn’t have to recruit. The rest of them and Coach Kelly more than have that task covered.
I’ll take Brady as OC, Sloan as QB coach, and any of the QB recruits we currently have waiting in line for their shot at Heisman.

The people with the Brady fascination are ridiculous. He doesn’t even like to coach in college football.

Brady was the passing game coordinator, Ensminger called the plays. I really wish people would get this straight. His first OC job was with the Carolina Panthers.

I have heard from my cousin’ hair dresser, who heard it from her sister’s ex-boy friend, who heard it from a guy at his gym who is a janitor at the football complex that there is a picture of Kyle Shanahan in CBKs office with “OC” at the top of it and a bullseye on Kyle’s nose.

Don’t shoot the messenger.

To summarize, Brady has been a failed OC at his only true OC job and doesn’t like to recruit.

I don’t see the fit, especially when it’s so critical that CBK gets this right.

I don't know if it would work for him, but Eric Bieniemy would be a slam-dunk OC if he could get him. He was excellent as KC's OC before he left for the Commanders.

His justification for leaving was that he wanted to show that he could be successful out of Andy Reid's shadow - he wants to be a HC and felt he had to leave the nest to see if he could fly.

With Rivera fired not sure where EB is going to go. But going to the college game and making a name for himself there - possibly getting a HC job there as well after a while - would be a good option if he was open to it.

FWIW, everyone on KC's offense loved EB. He's an excellent coach, coordinator, and motivator. He could kill it on the recruiting trail if he went that direction.

It might be a dream, but getting Bieniemy as LSU's OC - even for just a few years - would be OUTSTANDING.

Please, Coach Kelly, make it so!

He’s proven himself as an OC, and HE ALSO CALLED PLAYS and E didn’t do dick with nearly the same talent in 2018.

E must make a mean bbq sauce. People embellish the hell out of him.

Calling a third down here and there doesn’t mean he was the play caller, and also you act like the core they had didn’t grow as players over the course of the previous year. Yes, Brady contributed to the offensive success by working with the WR room and adding concepts used by Brees and the Saints, but Ensminger was still the orchestrator of that entire unit.
Brady flopped in his first year as an OC in Carolina, and he gets his second chance mid season with Josh freaking Allen as his QB. Maybe he is a great OC? Or maybe he has the luck of the Irish? Who knows? But one thing we do know. He’s not leaving an NFL job to come back to college. I think it’s been stated several times over that he doesn’t like recruiting, which is a big part of college coaching.
