Dude.

Aranda-HC
Herman-OC

Would be a fricking duo. Maybe throw in Pruitt as DC for some fire.

Aranda would attract good coordinators interested in working for him because of his intellect and understanding of the game, focused demeanor, X & O's and making key adjustments.

There's no downside for a good coordinator to be interesting in coaching at LSU for Aranda. That comment is the polar opposite of what was experienced at LSU both after the 2019 and 2020 hiring's. Anyone that wasn't merely attempting a quick money grab [without any focus on where they were working five and even ten years thereafter] wasn't about to short-circuit their career putting their neck on the line coaching for Orgeron.

Why not? Aranda has respect in the NCAA, I feel like he'd have no problem getting OC's.

Aranda puts in the work. I think he gets it done if he’s our guy.

If we hire Nappier or Aranda I will be happy. I think both coaches are solid and will provide long term success without the off the field distractions

I’d like for him to try to bring Grimes with him instead of taking his place.

But Herman is a good OC, wouldn’t mind it.

Well if that's the case, Aranda has to make sure there's a "no kissing players" clause in Herman's contract...

I mean the problem we have right now is we have a coach that doesn't know how to create an identity.

I have faith that Aranda knows what he wants from an offense.

I think Grimes would get the Baylor job if Aranda came this way, but are we sure it would be Herman?
No, but it's a distinct possibility has Herman is a top flight OC and a good friend of Aranda.

There’s zero chance Herman is ready to settle for being a coordinator the rest of his career.
We don't know that. But we do know that it will likely be quite a while before he gets another chance at a premier school.

There's a high likelihood that he will pick up Herman as OC,

Okay, likely is too strong a word. It is a distinct possibility as they are good friends.

Can't under someone taking the time to type that words regarding someone that isn't remotely close to becoming the LSU HC.
You don't know that. Nobody does, except SW.

Aranda will not be the next head coach because he isn't remotely qualified.
Really? Someone that is currently a HC at a P5 school with a 6-1 record isn't remotely qualified? You can say he doesn't have enough experience for your liking, but that not remotely qualified is a giant stretch.

Agreed.

I know many will disagree, but Aranda is my guy. Put his brain in charge, and with our players we should dominate. You may now downvote and say "NO!".

You may collect some downvotes, but I won't be one of them friend.

Aranda is one of the top defensive minds in football. We could do worse.

If Aranda becomes the head coach, LSU will suck on the recruiting trail and on the football field as well.

If Herman is part of the deal scratch aranda

Look it’s one of those dweebs who thinks performance as a head coach matters for a coordinator. The reason coaches become head coaches is because they were great coordinators.

Would be ok-to-excited with Dave. I also don't think he's succumbed to the idea that the offenses of today can't be stopped. I think he thinks they can. That part's exciting.

It has been reported that they stay in contact, discuss football, and bounce ideas off each other.

Aranda would never hire Pruitt and Grimes is a better OC than Herman
