They run a pro style offense with spread concepts added in
I'm salivating already. fact is, all the best teams run this style of offense.
Best = Teams winning championships

He's only 51.
Thats my main reason(kinda) for wanting him over Herman.
If Herman comes here and succeeds, he could be gone within 5 years. The guy is young and the NFL might be his ultimate goal.
If Jimbo comes, he could be here for a long time. I dont see him jumping ship again. Long term, I think Jimbo is the better hire

Just fixed it bud but thanks

It's silly, actually watch a FSU game people. They come out in wide open sets all the time. Fisher's offense would be fine here.
it's similar to Hugh Freeze's offense, except he develops QBs better

I agree with you there. I understand some folks line of thinking that if Herman leaves for the NFL, it means we won a natty. Although I don't believe that to be 100% the case, I get the idea.
I like the thought of having our next coach for the next 10-15 years.

And runs the ball better.
The only concern I have is how bad his OL has looked this year. Francois has taken an absolute beating this year.

This is a down year for FSU and they still could win 10 games.
The ones that want him gone are fricking spoiled.

It's also funny watching people scratch their heads as to why he's ostensibly our top target.
- won a natty*
- proven developer of quarterbacks
- established coach at a top program (that was slipping before hevtook over...familiar?)
- his offenses don't suck as he maximizes talent
- ties to LSU/Louisiana
-Saban coaching tree (and lets be honest, it's not like we're talking about derek dooley or even boom here)
*- ZOMG HE ONLY WON BC JAMEIS

also didn't have to play the SEC coaches in the ACC
ACC has some very good coaches. Dabo, Fisher, Fedora, Richt (I know this is new), Fuentes (also new)
ACC improved, actually, right around the time Jimbo went to FSU.
Maybe that's coincidence. But it is much better and arguably currently in a better state than the SEC.

Flynn was good and Mett was pretty good

I just want Aranda to stay. As long as Jimbo can keep Aranda here, that would be fantastic.

I guess their last and final argument is that he won't beat Saban? Well if he can't, literally it aint happenin'. Maybe Herman, but let's not pretend as though beating Stoops and Petrino is the same as taking down Bama on the road in early November.

instant playoff contender, period.

Well, I mean....1 national title in 7 years with similar talent, and a much easier road to get there. Les was playing for his 2nd title in 7 years. Yeah, yeah. I know. Saban left us stacked. First, that's not altogether true. Second, jimbo was at fsu for a few years before becoming head coach as the coach in waiting, so by the time he took over, it should have been loaded and ready to go.
Recruiting skyrocketed for FSU as soon as Jimbo took over. The OC does not have the same impact on recruiting as the HC.
Much like a certain DLine coach.
