Yes it’s impressive he built the best sunbelt program, but at any given time those schools are imploding because their last coach got hired by some P5 school.

Neal Brown was the best coach at Troy. shite at West Virginia.

Scott Satterfield won the sunbelt 3 times and he’s shite at Louisville.

As LSU and USC are about to prove, this is just not a box you can check. Established P5 programs rarely let their coaches leave. Here's to hoping Aranda actually happens or that we at the very least choose someone like Elko or Lanning instead of Bill O fricking Brien, but your choices are no head coaching experience or a G5 or bottom tier P5 coach. Schools like State and Iowa State still make boatloads of money and can afford to drop bags to retain a good coach.
