That quote was from Dandy this morning.
I truly believe this. We are so used to incompetence from the AD at LSU that it’s hard to imagine everything is being handled quietly and professionally.
I have no idea who the next coach will be but I think LSU is finally in good hands for decisions like this.

He also said LSU hasn’t offered Riley which is untrue but he’s right we are in good hands

I don’t believe we offered Riley. I lean more to the side of his agent creating an opportunity to get OU officials to ante up more money and extend Rileys contract.
I believe when OU and UT move to the SEC both programs will be in coaching searches after their first 3 years. It’s like Yellowstone we getting ready to show those two schools how the game is played and won.

I imagine we’ve talked what an offer would look like but we aren’t putting anything formal in front until everything is agreed to

I’m still hoping Aranda but I don’t think he’s at the top of the list. I also wanted Herman so it’s clear I don’t know much. I’m just going to trust the process.

I think this is a technicality like selling cars. We have probably showed his agent the proposal but not released it for ethical sakes and to say we were not turned down... nonetheless I am sure both parties know where the other stands right now. And as mentioned a day or so ago I believe Aranda knows too.

Woodward completed the deal weeks ago. Just trying to cover for our guy for two more weeks. Don’t know who it is, but I do know it’s a big name and the deal is done.

That statement may seem like it is a cut and dried statement but it is not. Has LSU officially offered Riley? Probably not. Have they floated the offer to his agent to gauge interest, almost definitely. Has there been agreement in principal on that offer prior to the official offer? We may know in a week or two.

Been following Scott's website for many years. He runs a good site, has good sources and I respect his thoughts. I tend to agree with him that the circle is small and it has been airtight. To me, this is how you run a coaching search. The rest of this stuff on TD, Twitter, Bleacher Report etc is just noise. It's made worse because the announcement was over a month ago and the spin cycle has been on full speed ever since. We all want to know and in the absence of news we all start making up the story.
Just a few more weeks and we will all know the ending.

Well yeah point being no body outside of those folks knows, so your statement has no merit. Why state an absolute when it can’t be verified I guess is my point?
