It's my one single concern with Riley. He's soft as frick, and his team's take on that personality. If he's hired here, there is zero reason to believe he would magically change. I just hope whatever he can bring to the table on offense is about to overcome that.

Chokelahoma would choke when they got to the playoffs because one time they ran into the greatest college football team to ever take the field, and the other time they ran into Alabama with a healthy Tua. Having never played a team like either of those in their soft conference they got wadded up like aluminum foil and pitch in the trash immediately.

I can’t comprehend people too stupid to think that Riley just doesn’t care about defense. I mean, that’s the stupidest thing I’ve ever read. Of course he cares about defense—it’s half the game. He’ll have not only access to much better defensive players, but LSU has a culture of great defense that Riley is gonna be the benefactor of. He doesn’t have to set that culture—it already exists. As long as he makes the right hires on the defensive staff and recruits the studs in and around Louisiana. I didn’t think he’d leave OU. But if he does, it’s ONLY because he knows he can win, and win big. And a huge part of that will be the defensive culture he inherits and build upon to supplement his offense.
He’s not gonna CHANGE LSU from a hard-nose defensive cultured team to a soft offensive one, he’s gonna KEEP the defensive culture and ADD the offensive fire power. If he does it right, we could go on a nice run of top 10 offensive and defensive units that frick motherfrickers up.

The coach doesn't become the team, the team becomes the coach. LSU will be what Riley drives it to be.
