Just makes very little logical sense given what’s at stake to put the program through a coaching search “battle.” You could’ve gotten the same effect and then signed the deal a week or so ago, it’s no secret he’s wanted.

I don’t doubt he could change his mind, but it would be insanity for it to be some “to show that we’re an elevated program” reason.

That may be the narrative the media would run with although I think it would be more likely “he’s matured and loves life in Oxford.”

Ole Miss is 4-0 during the circus. So there’s that. The team is locked in. Watch the Egg Bowl and you will see what I mean.

Thanks for the warning, but apparently you don’t yet know how this works. Lucy doesn’t pull the football until Charlie “LSU” Brown goes into his full kicking motion, which is about 36 hours from now.

the only chance he has of staying is if he changes his mind after a game where he got all of these feelings like he didnt want to leave his team or something. at some point up until now hes planned to leave. period.

you dont do that to a fan base and team and recruits if youre staying

With all due respect not giving up the middle of my day off and beautiful south Florida winter weather to watch two teams from Mississippi play college football

The belief is that it was necessary to show him wanted everywhere and then pick Ole Miss as the next stage in our progression as a program

This is beyond cope, its pure delusion.

He could have done that a week ago without turning the majority of the fan base against him and getting drug through the proverbial mud by the press.

The fact that you believe this

Been saying that since this thing started. Win today and I think he stays. Win and leaves those guys that fought so hard for him all year and getting him to the playoffs would be a sorry arse thing to do and who in the hell would want a guy like that to be the ambassador for your school. I guess it's win at any cost now adays.

WE are used to chaos. It's our middle name. If we get Lane great - it just means mre chaos. We love it. If we don't - NBD. We get Dilly, Sumral or Fritz.

neither outcome would shock me.

Only him going to Florida would be a surprise.

Kiffin will tell his team at 10:45 this morning that he is their coach all the way to the CFNC. The team will be so fired up, they will run through a wall.
This is all to motivate the players.
I think we will have egg on our face.

After yall pulled the sitting ND coach that was the ultimate ball drag moment in coaching carousel history. There should be no one out there with any doubt you will get a quality HC. I am of the opinion this current cycle is not working well for LSU. Dilly is an alum at his mothership. He ain’t going nowhere. Sumrall and Fritz are exactly pulls imho. I still think because of your AD, LSU will make a DEI hire like Delvin.
