I haven't figured out why Christobal would make the move to Miami. Yes great recruiting, but that is a build from the bottom and it looks like nobody at UM has the patience of 5-6 years of building something.

Cristobal is from Miami and played at Miami. It is his home along with new commitments to the football program from the administration and a comparable salary. Seems extremely obvious to me.

yeah Miami sports in general have the worst fanbases. No one will support a team that is bad. It may be great when teams are performing, but absolutely the most fairweather fans in the entire country

He was born in Miami, played for Miami, and coached at Miami.

If this doesn't work with Cristobal then Miami will be done. This feels like one last chance to give it a go

Most overrated flash in the pan of this decade. That would be like the Patriots hiring Ogre as head coach

Most idiotic statement.
Compare 2018 to 2019 with the same exact group of players and tell me that Brady is no good.

Hard to win games or call an offense when you QB is average at best, gets hurt, then you lose to injury the only offense you have left, then have to try and win a game with Cam.....no OC is going to come of that situation looking much better.

You’re not wrong. I hope the changing of the guard makes the team more successful, but I’ll believe it when I see it.

Can’t wait for the weekly “Miami Offense Stats” post all next season

Miami scores on their first possession and there will be 5 threads with a version of "and you rantards didn't want Joe Brady back..."

I'm convinced the people who don't understand the appeal of returning to one's p5 alma has a head coach...didn't go to a p5 school.

Which isn't a bad thing, don't get me wrong, but there's no way it would be "confusing" to someone who has a p5 alma.

Miami, Joe Brady reportedly have 'mutual interest' in Hurricanes' OC vacancy
By Will Backus

New Miami head football coach Mario Cristobal is tasked with building out his staff after making the move from Oregon, and a notable name has been tied to the Hurricanes’ offensive coordinator vacancy. As InsideTheU’s David Lake wrote to VIP members Monday afternoon, there is “mutual respect” between former Carolina Panthers play-caller Joe Brady and Miami.

Both the Associated Press’ Tim Reynolds and Mike Ryan Ruiz of the Dan LeBatard Show have reported similar sentiments regarding Brady and the Hurricanes.

“I know conversations have already been had & comms are open,” Ryan wrote Tuesday on Twitter. “I don’t know where it stands at this very moment. But there is certainly something to it. It would be a tremendous hire, IMO.”

Brady — a native of Miami Lakes, Florida — became one of the hottest names in coaching after guiding LSU’s offense to a historic season in 2019. Quarterback Joe Burrow won the Heisman and the Tigers crushed multiple passing records en route to a College Football Playoff National Championship.

Brady’s role in that earned him a job on Matt Rhule’s inaugural Carolina Panthers staff in 2020. However, Carolina’s offense has struggled to start the 2021 season with a revolving door at quarterback. Subsequently, Rhule recently made the stunning decision to fire Brady.
...

That frees Brady up to make his return to the college coaching ranks, where he is sure to draw plenty of interest. Brady has been mentioned for several college football openings in the last year. His previous coaching stops include the New Orleans Saints (2017-18), Penn State as a graduate assistant (2015-16) and William & Mary (2013-14).

Ok. I was wondering if he hated LSU THAT much because it's going to be an uphill battle at the U.
