I love Mike Leach. Probably one of my favorite coaches out there. I could listen to his "fat little girlfriends" speech all day, and good for him locking up a spoiled brat in a closet.

His book, Swing Your Sword, is really good...a must read for any Leach fans out there, or just college football lovers in general. He's actually hilarious and ridiculously insightful about the most random facets of life.

Great read for any one. Good look at life's lessons.

I got this one. Do you recall the schools who offered pirate boy whilst at TT? He won 11 games and beat up on the powers that be. Everybody said the same thing about him there. Oh he got interviews for bigger jobs but they would never offer. He does not interview well.

Now fast forward, he has more baggage, right or wrong. Mike has a personality that most don't get. He may very well get looks from schools but don't look for him to get offers.

How was he vindicated on the CJ issue.

Well, when the James' side of the story was shown to be nothing but utterly fabricated bullshite I would think that would tend to vindicate the other side.

I honestly don't know anything about it

Did some skimming before posting and nothing popped out at me as vindication.

It really is like he has been exiled. He may as well have been sent to the Isle of Elba.

Really makes what Mike Price did there all the more remarkable.

I'm talking literally remote. As in geographically. Ames is just outside Des Moines. Or you could drive to Omaha or Minneapolis

Just look at Pullman on Google maps. There's absolutely nothing for hundreds of miles in any direction

Leach is hilarious and so are his pressers. He's one of the most quotable coaches in the country.

And he's obsessed with pirates.

And booze.

Spokane is only about 80 miles from there.

Exactly.

Spokane is the largest metropolis between Seattle and Minneapolis.

Which is kinda like saying Tupelo is the largest metropolis between Memphis and Birmingham. If Memphis and Birmingham were 1600 miles apart.

But yeah, Pullman is way out there. I go twice a year to see my brother and it's a long haul with a toddler in the backseat.

Mike Leach is the man. I got to meet him in Key West and take a couple shots with him. I certainly hope he gets to move greener pastures in the near future.

He interviewed at both Washington and Miami, but I'm not sure if there was ever an offer on the table.

You're right though, he lacks interview skills and it takes a creative-minded AD to take a flier on him to lead a football program.

In many ways, he's a lot like Bill Parcels. He demands full control of his program and not even Jerry Jones would be able to intervene.
