Playoffs by year 2. Hopefully a championship sooner rather than later.

Honestly we will finally have a competent play caller with an ingenious offense that works regardless of who’s running it…we have only had two really good elite play callers with Joe Brady and Denbrock since 2011. Kragthorpe/Studrawa was a mess the kept spiraling down hill…

So similar to UGA before Kirby arrived, huh?

If the annual 20+ mil NIL budget is true, then I would expect a playoff berth Year 1.

Stays 4 years then tries the NFL again. One deep playoff run no championship

I would like to make the playoffs in the first 3 years.
I would like to be competitive in our games.
I would like to beat teams we are supposed to beat.
I would like to not be in the national news for crazy things

UGA didn't have unreasonable expectations prior to Kirby. UGA was dysfunctional prior to Kirby.

I think he’d get somewhat a pass year 1 (unless he absolutely crapped the bed and had a losing record…which I don’t think is likely).
After year 1 though, it’s on. “Honest expectations” at a place like LSU are very high expectations. Playoffs at a minimum and seriously competing for Natty’s not too long after that.
That kind of pressure isn’t for everyone in the long run. Some can do it but a whole lot more can’t.
Only time will tell if Lane is up to the task.

Says the guy that’s team is preseason top ten for the last 15 years because they get 10 free wins for just showing up (East and OOC and GATech) plays the least away games of any school in the country (Atlanta isn’t an away game neither is cocktails party when UF has been dead since Tebow) and only has 2 ships to show for it. One by a miracle two WRs that put up 400 yards combined receiving yards three weeks earlier both tore their ACL’s. Which also happens to be the only time you’ve beaten bama. So shite up and go back to the sec rant and pretend your program isn’t a false profit.
And yes you don’t play in the east anymore yet you had the second easier schedule in the sec this year. Have fun this last ride it only gets tougher from here on out.

Touchy, aren't ya.
Early in the Richt years, I thought he would get over the hump once he had that "special player". Then it became obvious that he had failed to capitalize on several such players.

the sky is the limit as long as our NIL budget remains competitive with Ohio St/bama/UGA/atm, Texas, etc.
it's no longer a "year 1" or "year 3" type of thing with an open portal. having said that, dont see how we get back in the top 5 right off the bat next season but will be markedly improved.
if we can get a qb that will stick around for a second season, then the year after this coming year I think we could already be right back in the mix at the top.

This gif is the #1 reason I want Kiffin to be LSU’s next coach.

If he’s here at least a decade I can envision at least 2 titles and maybe another appearance or two for good measure.

Pretty tough schedule next season. But the home/away splits can’t be much better.
Clemson, Bama, Texas, State, and A&M at home.
Tennessee, Kentucky, Ole Miss, Auburn, and Arkansas on the road.
Should make playoffs year 1 and (at this point not knowing much) it’s a crapshoot once you’re in.
