No. O shouldn't even be a option period. He's not head coach material! Nobody else wants him as a head coach, nobody. I love him a DL coach but he's out of his element as HC.

I'm really shocked at how many idiots (yes that's the nicest thing I can say) want to hire Ed Orgeron after he's done what...beaten four teams with losing records and looked terrible against the two best teams we've played, at home.

Was Miles so bad you just jumped behind the guy for beating bad teams?

This is the most illogical thing I've ever seen. There's a coach out there with a 76-17 overall record, a national championship and a proven track record with developing QB's and you idiots would prefer the guy who's two best seasons were as an interim coach and has never had a winning season that he actually started and finished.

To top it all off, you want him to bring in Kiffin. Keep in mind these two paired up before in the SEC East and were garbage. Then they did it again at USC, and failed miserably. Is it really that hard to decide between a proven track record of winning or one of failure and you people are begging for the failure.

Ok, I'm returning to my coffee and paper. Just had to get that out of my system.

I dont give a frick what anybody says. If its not Jimbo or Herman its a better option than the "2nd tier" group.

There are literally 50 coaches that would be better than Orgeron at this point.

Be honest. If Ed wasn't already on staff, what scenario exists for him to ever be a candidate?

If he decides to leave, what type of job is he a candidate for? Texas? No. Notre Dame? No.

Purdue? UL Lafayette? Probably. That's my issue. LSU doesn't hire a guy who'd be in the running for the UL Lafayette job.

Its funny that all the people that want O as coach think the winning formula is simplistic stupid bullshite like

quote:

Refocus recruiting to build o-line and d-line first then QB.

or

quote:

Tell Moffit to step his game up in the weight room.

Thats why they think EO can handle the job. Cause they think his job consists of him telling other people to "do better" lol.

Sorry. I think Orgeron did a great job as interim coach. The season was salvaged when it couldh ave gone downhill immediately when Miles was fired.

However,he's not qualified for this job. Furthermore, in his head coaching experience (including at LSU), he hasn't performed up to the expectations of this program.

I'm thankful for Orgeron. But, he's not a candidate.
