The early signing period (initial signing date Dec 15; final signing date Dec 17). LSU really wants and needs a coach in place by the first week of December

bullshite. There is no way that Woodward has such short sighted thinking and if he does then he deserves to have his choice go 0-12 yearly until they are both fired

Aranda's doing it at a Power 5 program, not in a kiddie table conference like the Sunbelt.

TW how, on God's green earth, could Napier be ready for LSU HC but Aranda not? This makes absolutely NO sense to me.

I'm in a state of bewilderment as well.

What a great comparison.

It's not but not for the reason you're stating. Napier coaches in the sun belt. Aranda has Baylor ranked in the top 25 and has beat a couple of ranked teams already. At this point pj fleck has accomplished more than Napier and I would take Aranda over Fleck

Riley would be worth it. Some recruits are being told that Riley is that man. Could be BS to keep them tuned in but it’s at least being said by coaches.

According to whom?

On the BOS, yes some do. Ego does play a role.

Scott knows this……will leaks occur on some level? Ummmm. Hi.

You don’t know shite either. Just because you played 25 years ago doesn’t mean anything.

At last, a post from someone with inside information. Finally we get some valuable insight into the coaching search.

I was having dinner with Woodward's mom last night and she confirmed that no one has a freaking clue.

Yeah I mean ideally you would but getting the hire right >>>>>one recruiting class. People need to stop acting like that’s top priority

I think it's going to be Jimbo Fisher.

Lincoln Riley—The fact that he will be in the playoffs makes it a little more difficult as well.

They are currently #8 in the CFP ranking.

List is shite.

Sorry but if Lincoln Riley agrees to be your head coach but says to keep it quiet until he is done with the playoff, you don't panic hire someone else because he is available three weeks earlier.

Ok I’m glad I’m not the only one who thinks this. I get wanting to salvage the recruiting class, but don’t pass on a guy who could be a 10+ year HC here just for the sake of one recruiting class.

I’d hate to see us hire “the best guy we could get before the early signing period” instead of waiting for a better candidate

Obviously it could change, but the current playoff rankings tell a different story. I mean they’re undefeated and still need to get some help(and keep winning)so we might get lucky.

All I can say is that I’m glad none of you are making this hire, jeez. All the experts who just know who’s the sure thing and who will fail. I wish I were as informed as you guys are. WTF are these schools thinking not hiring some of you as coaching search consultants is beyond me!

Nobody knows anything and it’s sure not being posted here if they do.

I’m guessing it’s going to be a woke progressive, politically correct hire. Just look at the mural in the gym. The Pres will demand a coach of color and feed everyone a shite sandwich if you don’t like it.
