Can we stop doing this? Either Franklin is worthy of the hire or he isn’t. Putting him on a 4 week job interview at Penn State and if he wins 3 out of 4 you’ll consider it is dumb. No one serious makes decisions like this. If this is how Woodward is looking at it, he’s incompetent, which makes me think that none of this is true.

Out of all the BS "inside" info posted on here, this makes the most since. Riley is a big swing. You have to make a call to Fickell. At the moment Franklin could be a great hire, but I agree with the wait & see approach. Napier is the fallback candidate if Woodward's all of the above don't pan out.

Was it the DC search, either for Pelini or Jones, that it was rumored that different people were being told different things so they could know who the leak was?

Sorry but if Lincoln Riley agrees to be your head coach but says to keep it quiet until he is done with the playoff, you don't panic hire someone else because he is available three weeks earlier.

Well it’s been an inevitable situation that began to escalate last year when we were 2-5. So while, yes it is only october, the wheels have been in motion for over a year now.
