Why fire a coach who is 34-14 to go after an unproven coach….i think you fired Kelly to go after the Tier 1/2 coaches

Top 50 Coaches in College FB Right Now

Here's the best list to review of those that would have name recognition. Anyone not on this list would be a current OC/DC or NFL linked, saying that though....

I DO NOT WANT A FIRST TIME HEAD COACH....

I don’t want anyone from your tier 1 other than lanning but I don’t want him either. I want someone hungry like that Nick Saban coach we got in 99. Odds are that won’t happen but I want a fire cracker again, someone with that internal burn.

But I like a lot of your other names

I like these guys and may be able to get for cheaper
Key
Sumrall
Dillingham
Chadwell Golesh

Expensive we can’t afford
Lanning
Cignetti

Expensive and I dont trust
Kiffin

Pipe dreams maybe too old as is
Meyer
Saban

Less experienced but could be home runs
Brian Hartline
Joe Brady
Todd monken
Thomas brown

Guys that may just need the opportunity
Leipold
Brohm

This is just from some Google searching and reading y’all’s thoughts. But how do you rank them?

If Todd Graves could just donate 1% of his net worth then we could buy Cignetti from Indiana

People need to stop looking at Graves like a charity. It’s half joking sometimes. But I’m sure someone in his position would like other people to step up.

Key would be a solid hire if you can persuade him to leave tech

To be clear, you think hiring a coordinator from a college program should be considered?

And you think hiring a coordinator from the NFL should be considered?

Awesome, let's take a look at someone who's never been a HC and let him learn here, in the SEC, at LSU, in the NIL climate.... you are so so smart. Woodward should hire you to make the decisions. /s

You’re leaving out one minute little factor in that: all of this takes TIME. Time we don’t have when competing with other programs.

Again, I think it is HUGE mistake to limit the search to ONLY those with prior head coaching experience

Kirby, Lanning and Dabo had none before their current jobs and, while the current game has passed Dabo by, he’s got 2 national titles, played for another, Kirby has 2 and played for another and Lanning is one of the best young coaches in the business.

And now we're cash strapped
People keep saying this, and yet we keep spending more money than anyone else. Remember when we couldn't afford to poach Blake Baker or Bo Davis after paying off Matt House? LSU always finds the money.

If he’s let go by the Dolphins, Mike McDaniel. He’d be a great fit for college. .

There needs to be a very comprehensive interview/vetting process. Not just shooting off names that even Joe Retard knows

No you take time and get it right.
Even if it means you hurt 1 year of recruiting a bit.

You can’t risk this and make another bad hire.

Calm down Francis. You fire Kelly now so you have time to search for a coach. You aren't bringing in Kiffin or any other sitting coach for the rest of the season.
