I don’t know how big it is. But you have to keep in mind that he was making like 300k or something. Even a moderate sized OC contract would be a huge raise.
But make no mistake. The vitriol for this shouldn’t be aimed at SE. He wasn’t campaigning for this job.

It’s because the majority of the posters on this board are uninformed 20 something’s who catch an occasional thread and say “OMG we’re hiring Ensminger as OC?!?”
No one has been hired yet. No decision has been made. There is no confirmed info. Someone said they are interviewing assistants this weekend, but that’s all they know.
Then we’ll end up with a legit hire, and they’ll bitch about that too after the first incomplete pass next year. Around and around we go.
Just let the process play out and see who we get.

Myles was a true freshman this year, Etling was a 5th year senior that didn’t throw many INT’s. It’s not that hard to figure out.

Just wasted 5-10 years of food football if that’s true. It’s clear LSU higher ups don’t care about winning at all because if they did, Briles or Freeze would be the OC.

I'm not disagreeing on that I fully understand the situation. However there were chances to further play Brennan since his red shirt was burned for continued experience and didnt.

They aren’t installing a west coast offense, no CFB has the time to practice that

They will put in what they know, which is the Cam Cameron pro style offense with better play calling. Lots of play action, lots of throws outside the numbers, sit downs, square ins and bombs. Ensminger will probably dump the toss dive and replace it with the stretch play
