Help me remember - is this process kinda reminiscent of the baseball search and hire?

Seems like in that one there were also lots of rumors of big name candidates, and one by one they re-signed, signed elsewhere or took their names out of contention. Also, in that one there was good information control from the powers that be at LSU.
In that case, most people seemed to be pleased with the outcome. Hopefully, this one plays out the same way.

It’s def very similar to the baseball search and love Jay Johnson now so I’m praying I feel the same after who the frick is announced

Particularly with the completely misdirected insiders and lazy sportswriters who had garbage leaked to them.
Nobody knew anything about Jay Johnson before he was hired, and nobody knows anything about whoever this hire ends up being.

Yep, yesterday’s Bianco premelters are today’s Stoops premelters. I’m sure if you went back and looked you’d see the same names doing it.

This process is very similar to every HC Football coaching search at LSU execpt the Saban hire.

Most people are pleased once the guy gets to a podium and profuses their love for the program and goes into how much he cant wait to win here. But in the moment everyone wants their guy and wants a big splash. if they don't get, they are pissed

Actually this process is a lot more like the Ed O hire and then his desperate search for coordinators before this season.
