I don't think he gives two shits about defense. At Oregon I saw his team lose shootouts just because the other team had the ball last. better fit for the big 12

We were rumored to go after a big names too. Lets wait and see who they end up with. Also, there last two big names ended terribly and they are the same school that hired Ron Zook after Spurrier. So since Spurrier they are 1 for 4.

His worst defense was #67. That's with Oregon level talent. Just admit you're scared.

So, what you're saying is you don't know anything about his defensive teams?

Relax. Most of the SEC poaches their share of Florida players. Bama has been the most successful but Auburn, LSU and Georgia aren't too far behind.

He never had a dominate defense. He is not known for that. I was at a game where a below average U of A team beat them and scored 42 on them. I may have overstated, granted, but Defense has never been his priority. I think he is a decent coach but its a bad fit there. I think he would really do well at a school in the Big 12.

what are you talking about? he never lost to arizona. he only only gave up 40 in a losing effort twice. once in his very first year to stanford, the other to LSU in 2011 when they may have had the greatest college football team of all time

Stick with 1 narrative.

First he doesn't care and never had a good defense.

Now, it's he's never had a dominant D.

What do you want?

I’m now hearing that SEC commissioner has chosen to not stand in way of Florida hiring Chip Kelly if he is the school’s selection.

Why would he? Seriously, what are the possible reasons why the commissioner might block the hiring of Kelly? Does the commissioner even have the authority to do so. This blurb doesn't give much insight.

Chip Kelly is going to be a monster at UF. I wouldn’t be surprised if he forces saban into retirement after a few years

Chip Kelly is on the same level as Urban Meyer and Chris Petersen; an elite coach who can get a team ready to go toe-to-toe with Nick Saban and win on a good day.

If LSU had Les Miles in his prime, I'd look forward to the epic matchups. They do not. They have Ed Orgeron, and after O, they'll need to find a coach willing to face Saban / Kelly on a yearly basis.

This is not a good development, if it comes to pass.

Amazing these schools go after big names and we get Orgeron.

hey dumb shite, we went after big names too.

and Kelly and Gruden are not signed yet. your smart play would be to wait and see who is hired before you mouth off. of course, the smart play is not your way.

Chip Kelly did well in a conference that plays little to no defense. What happened when his teams ran into LSU and Auburn? He admitted he hated recruiting when he was in the NFL. Now he’d be in a state where he’d have to fend off every top school in the country. I’m sorry but him at UF doesn’t worry me one bit.

LSU - loaded with NFL talent
Auburn - fairley and Heisman QB

Oregon, loaded with mid level 3 star talent

That he recruited.

Whenever he ran into teams that could run the ball and play defense he lost. So he can chalk up L’s to LSU and UGA every year form the jump.

Well they also held Auburn less than 20 and were leading before the final play. Dont act like it was some route.

We steam rolled every team not Bama in 2011. It would have been the most accomplished CFB season by far if we win the last game.

Kelly had an astonishing record at Oregon. He lost 7 games and won 3 pac 10 titles. Him at Florida scares the shite out of me.

Kelly is not going to Florida.

He hates to recruit, his offense is now known, plus SEC teams would destroy his offense.

See LSU, Auburn.

If he returns to college football, it'll be in the PAC-12.
