So let me get this scenario straight:
1. aTm drops $77 million to jettison Fisher.
2. aTm is willing to drop another $60 to $75 million to buyout Kelly's LSU contract.
3. aTm then has to pay Kelly upwards of $12 million a year to coach their team (for demonstration purposes = 5 year contract)
77 + 75 + 60 = $212 million to get a football coach. Yeah, that's happening.
ETA: Tell those voices in your head to STFU.

Kelly’s buyout if he leaves for another job is ~$9 million. It’s that much if LSU fires him. He’s obviously not leaving for A&M

We fired Les Miles for losing 3 regular season games a year, even after winning a national title and playing for another. Why should BK get a raise for similar results? Especially when he still has 8 years left on his original 10 year deal

Well that’s not congruent.
Seems that the purchasing school would have to pay at least a third of this “getting fired” buyout.

I'll get down voted for this but Kelly hasn't done anything to earn a raise or an extension yet. Win a championship and then we'll talk. That's what you were brought here for. And as much as people don't want to admit it our recruiting on the defensive side of the ball right now, especially at DL and CB sucks. Our entire defensive staff needs an overhaul.
