I'll give you an added incentive:
If Riley's smart he can see what I can see - he either takes the LSU job and wins a NC in the next 3-4 years, or he stays and watches the coach who beats him every time they play (Aranda) take the LSU job. Then starting as soon as next year, he has to go through LSU and Alabama to get into the playoffs.
The writing is really on the wall here for Riley. Now is his chance if he ever wants to rise to the top of his profession.

100% correct
It wouldn't just be a $$ decision

It's amazing how much every opinion changes based on Saturday performance.
I will still want Aranda even if he loses to K state, but I will admit that he has the shortest resume. Each win or loss for him is a bit more significant.

My biggest issue with Riley is he doesn't have experience rebuilding a program. He was gifted a program that was rolling. But he would be a solid hire for sure.

It’s not a rebuild, the home is in good shape, just in need of some updates and renovations

Yeah the D the last two weeks shows it's a scheme issue. We have the talent

new coach can sign 25 and bring in 7 transfers
32 new players is a way to quickly rebuild a program, especially with the talent LSU already has

Will the D still be good without O? The improvements have all apparently been due to him

You know jimbos responds sounds like what he said at fsu before taking to Tam job

It's LSU it's already gifted with elite talent. Riley would kill it in recruiting here

Disagree sir. If we can just have Ed quit punching holes in the wall and flipping the furniture the house would be in great shape.

That's a little dramatic. The talent is still there. We've had top 5 recruiting classes the past 2 years. A complete rebuild would be if this had gone on long enough to push the recruiting classes back into the teens or twenties. A coach would then have to do what he could with the talent that was there and reestablish LSU as a power over a few years of recruiting. You can't say a team with top 5 recruiting classes for the past 3-4 years is in complete rebuild mode.
