I do know we inquired about the Lanning contract to find out the actual buyout. He'll never be leaving lol.

It’s why he was never considered for the Bama job.

Massive buyout and Phil Knight would match and exceed any offer.

He’s there for the foreseeable future.

I mean Heupel schemed him open.

Players have to make plays at some point.

If we can't get a big name top coach which was a longshot before Landry did his thing(Freeman, Kiffin, Lanning). Then its better to just go the guy who is doing great at a lesser school.

A good portion of the Tenn fans are upset and ready for Heupel to move on. It would be a similar situation to Kelly.

Now, if we get him for a cheap price, that could be decent, but if we are having to pay $13+ million a year for him, that is certainly not worth it.

So you’d rather a guy doing great at a lesser school over a guy doing great in the SEC?

Again, that’s fricking dumb.

They would be dumber than you to want him fired.

I bet you’re fine paying Kiffin, who’s done less, that same amount of money.

The guy that with the season on the line on a 4th and 3 threw the ball to a freshman with 3 catches on the year. And ball bounces off his facemask.

So he schemed a guy wide open?

He’s beat Bama twice and came into Tiger Stadium and rolled LSU.

Heupel resurrected that place from the depths…. They’re were fricking terrible before he got there. Fans have unrealistic expectations in pretty much all cases, but wanting Heupel fired at this point is another level of stupid.

People who think Kiffin would chose Florida over LSU if he had his pick are kidding themselves

I've never gotten the Kiffin infatuation. Sloppy teams with lots of penalties, dumb calls of fourth downs, off field drama, never been to Atlanta, no skins on the wall besides a loss in a non-playoff Sugar Bowl.

He is good at developing QBs and calling plays. He is an OC. That is his ceiling. Ole Miss might finally crack the playoff barrier this year, but they still have to play Florida and MSU at Starkville. They could lose both to close out the season and miss the field of 12.

People act like individuals can never improve and that what they are now is what they’ll always be

Kiffin is who he is but you can’t lie about the fact that his career is trending upwards and that there’s still room for improvement. Acting like he’s reached his ceiling now is retarded. And it’s part of the reason I wouldn’t mind him away from Ole Miss

Kiffin has his issues but saying OC is his ceiling is objectively dumb.
