I asked Hanni's opinion on PJ Fleck through the Sterling Automotive Huddle. His response was that PJ Fleck had about as much chance of coming LSU and a snowball's chance in hell.

So there you have it.

If Hanny said that, his chances just went up.

Spot on. Would alabama even give him a look if Saban were to retire. Heck no. lsu is right there with bama and once nick leaves it will be a better job.

I like how you fleshed out the details.

I wouldn't under sell Hanny and Ott's connections. That's all I'll say.

They both have good connections inside the program but get feed shite sometimes. When jumbo was here nobody had better sources than ott, as he was friends with jumbo personally. Ott was the one that broke the miles hiring.

Fleck should be the leading candidate from teir II. Even though I am a fan he should be behind jimbo, Herman, Kelly and maybe McDaniels. He is in teir 2 with orgeron and McIntyre imo

Besides Jimbo and Herman is there any other coach that has a legitimate shot at being our next coach?

LSU and Bama are in two different situations. Alabama needs somebody to keep turning the wheel, LSU actually needs improvement and rejuvenation. Bama wouldn't even give Ed O an interview, but Fisher and Herman would be 2 of the people at the top of their list.

Personally, I want LSU to go with youth, great offensive spread scheme, and a QB whisperer (Herman), but I wouldn't hate Fisher and I'd actually be happy if we got Mike Gundy unlike other LSU fans. I'd love Chip Kelly, but I don't know if that is even a realistic possibility.

I really can't believe Gundy's not a bigger player in this. I'd put him before Orgeron,Fedora, Holgerson, Mora and some other names that have been on here.

Other than the mullet, i think the guy is a hell of a coach.

The PJ Fleck Fan Club that has sprung up on here is fascinating.

By the time this process ends, the legend of PJ Fleck may be the coach equivalent of the legend of Houston Bates.

Thank you Lucky Tiger. Pj may be a good fit for Minnesota or Wyoming. But we're LSU and we are much better than that. Sorry but that's just true.

The issue isn't if LSU is better than PJ Fleck. The issue is, outside of Jimbo's resume, Maybe Franklin, or Gundy, PJ Fleck has as good or better than anyone else that has been successful.

He's performed better as a h.c. than Ogeron, he has more experience than Herman as a h.c. He's actually built a program and is achieving results never seen before.

So, we can be arrogant and have our nose in the air about how good we are. How we can do so much better, the reality is there Just isn't that much better out there.

Bama got turned down Rich Rod, Michigan got turned down by their top tier choices, Texas got turned down by their top tier choices, Nebraska, USC, Miami, etc. You have to remember, Mike dubose and shula was coach at Alabama. John Mac, was coach as texas, larry coker Miami. I'm sure they thought they were better than that at the time.

That's fine. Ogeron isn't my first pick. The PJ numbnuts crew wouldn't have wanted Ogereon if he would have ran the table and won a national championship

Not true. I like PJ fleck a lot. If Ogeron ran the table, he had earned the job. I have supported him a lot on this board.

I'll be respectful and not throw names back at you this time. However, you may want to think about who you call a nerd, numbnut, etc. I'm not the one calling a radio show asking for information. There can be a lot of Irony in your statement.
