What about him student of Saban, Kirby etc. Young knows how to relate to the college kids these days. If we can't get Lane and were going to go defensive coach, I would think he would be a one to look at. Plus he would probably come relatively cheap.

We could do a whole lot worse than Glenn Schumann. He's one without HC experience that I would be okay taking a risk on just based on who he has worked with.

If we go the coordinator route, he has to be at the top of the list.

He’s an elite position coach. Good DC. Would probably be a great head coach given he gets the right coordinators.

If you watch UGA football you know there's a difference in how their defense looks when Schumann is there alone and when Vandy's season is over and Muschamp is there. Schumann would be a total flop at LSU. Hiring a Co-DC who is on the staff with Kirby, T-Rob, and Muschamp when Vandy's season ends would be foolish.

If you want to hire an in-conference DC the best available would be Pete Golding and he's from Louisiana and recruits the area. Golding is light years better than Schumann. Stop dick riding UGA.

He is not a new name. Why has he been passed over multiple cycles now?

Strikes me like Kellen Moore (passed over for a reason) and you see the disaster he is with the Saints.

There is a reason he has been passed over. Look at UGA stats the last few years. We can do better if we go the coordinator route.

Hold on now, this talk about being passed over. He’s 35 years old and has been the defensive playcaller since 2022. Let’s not act like he’s been passed over time and time again.

The only 2 jobs I can find he interviewed for are the Eagles in 2023, which he removed his name from ultimately and North Carolina last year.

You know thats actually fair. However, I think its interesting those are the only two jobs hes interviewed for despite being a DC at a major contender every year. I again go back to the stats for UGA the last few years and saw something a few minutes ago where they had only 8 sacks across the season. I think we can do better but I dont get paid to make those choices.
