FSU facilities vs LSU facilities

I am just wondering how LSU compares to FSU facilities and if that would be part of the reason Jimbo would want to come to LSU.

I'm also curious what the board's opinion is as far as prestige of the two programs
LSU vs. FSU
On an LSU board we are sure to get a lot of homer answers but I feel LSU is a better job than FSU.

I think it's about the same. One could argue LSU is better, or vice versa.

There was a good amount of FSU "fans" growing up in Baton Rouge in the early to mid 90's.

The TV's in the lockers in FSU's locker room is a little much. A locker room is supposed to be a place for players to hang out and interact with each other, and get their minds focused for a game.

You should see A&M's locker room it's crazy

I like what the Vols did...
All about design...
the money is being spent by all
it's about what design to you like?
Ohio States looked nice
I've seen Oregon's, noone can can outspend them

I remember seeing pictures a couple years ago when they built it. The barber shop was a good idea, IMO. Get to save your players a little money, and they can keep their lines straight all day erryday.

Why would fisher want to make a, more or less, lateral move. Unless we can out bid Florida St. by an amount that makes an impact, I just don't see him coming to LSU. Would it take Saban type money? Would it take making him the highest paid coach in college football or dam close to it? most likely.

Probably, but it is debatable. Both have excellent recruiting. LSU's athletic/football income and money spent on coaches are higher but the road to winning the ACC is probably easier overall.

FSU had some insane run of like 10-12 years of top 5 finishes under bobby....his later years they started to drop off from national prominence....jimbo has resurrected them. but outside of those years, which were a lot, i don't think they have the deep history.
perception is the thing though. during our bad years, they were having great years. and no one wants to remember before the 80's, so lsu's history is moot to most observers.
the last 5-7 years, we've played for a NC, and theyve won a NC. so they'd probably get the nod for recent success.
Historically, I'd say LSU as a homer but trying to be honest.
Last 15-20 years, FSU by a nose.

and New Orleans. It was the hot school to pull for those that didn't like the home school. Lost a lot of local recruits to them in those days.

FSU only started playing football in 1947. When Bowden got there the program wasn't even 30 years old.
FSU has done more than a lot of programs have done in over a 100 years.

A quick Google search shows he makes $5.15 million. And after the LSU rumors last year, they didn't give him a raise, although he had just gotten one in January of 2015. He might want to coach in the SEC, which is widely considered the best conference, and has been for a while now. It's pretty well known that Jimbo loved his time at LSU, and he wanted the job when Saban left. Saban told Skip he wasn't ready. He may think he's a better coach than Saban, and his only chance to prove that is to beat him on the field. There was also a lot of talk that Jimbo butted heads with the FSU administration.
These coaches have huge egos, and only they know why they do what they do.
ETA: Just read this again and noticed my mistakes... Geez

Agreed, but the OP and my stance was about lsu and fsu.

All three of the Florida universities have emerged as powerhouses relatively recently. Miami obviously suffers from a lack of comparable institutional support but their proximity to some of the best regional talent in teh country has been a huge part of them winning 5 NCs since the 80s.
Think about how football has changed. From Notre Dame, Michigan, Nebraska, OU, Minnesota, etc schools dominating in decades ago to the warmer clime schools getting into the mix and mostly now dominating (aside from perhaps tOSU).

Our players' lounge is just sad. Even though it's been updated since I saw it a few years ago, it's still incredibly cramped and cheap.

I don't think there is a big difference between the 2 now. FSU has invested quite a bit into the program the last few years.
