LSU pays assistants $5.7 million, FSU $4.9 million. And that's with Cam taking a cut, so it would've been a million difference had he kept his same salary. It is definitely will be a deciding factor, because LSU will shell out even more if needed.

One should also consider strength of schedule vs monies paid. Why would one come to a tougher conference for same money but higher expectation?
Consider this in your personal life. Say you're a Chick Fila employee. You like your job and you make good money for the work expected of you. Why would you go wait at PF Changs for the same money?

His DC makes $800k, which is half a million less than Aranda, but still makes him a top 20 paid assistant in the nation. His Co-OC's are position coaches with the OC title, they don't call plays. All of his other assistants make money comparable to LSU's assistants.
