Not only are we hearing this in Northwest Arkansas, it's on the UNC board as well

A&M is Larry Fedora's dream job, his father was actually a popular barber near the campus in College Station, and the Powers-That-Be at A&M are ready to pull the trigger starting next Sunday.

Source is a high ranker (Home Builder) among a very strong coalition that simply will not take no for an answer. Fedora to A&M. Done

I'm not sure anyone in the SEC should feel threatened by a guy who saw Brandon Harris play for LSU and decided to invite him to be a part of his team.

Fedora had a shitty year after being a "hot name" last season. He's doing what he can to stay relevant in this year's coaching carousel...which is a big time seller's market.

A&M hasn't even officially fired Sumlin yet and there would be no rush to nab Fedora. Not all AD's are as dumb as LSU's. I doubt Woodward feels pressure to run to to podium to announce Fedora, a guy that would likely be available after other names have said no.

I think Fedora could use a change of scenery, and I think he could succeed at A&M.

If you think this is the guy you need, then you hire him ASAP and let him get to work.

If these people actually had pull then they wouldn't be flapping their gums to people that would spill it on a message board.

Usually when you are forced to fire a coach it's because what he's doing isn't working. In hiring the new coach you are looking to go in a different direction from what isn't working.

Since Sumlin has been there A&M has been a team with a spread offense that has struggled (at times) running the football and playing defense. Clearly that recipe hasn't worked (or they wouldn't firing Sumlin). So they are going to hire a guy whose teams are basically built to do the EXACT same thing?

I don't see how that would be much of an improvement over Sumlin. In fact, I'd place them in the same coaching tier with Kevin Sumlin having the more successful resume.

If you have a TA account please start this thread over there though, the reaction would be hilarious. I might create a new account just to start it myself

I think the barber part might actually be true. Fedora definitely grew up in College Station

Did Fedora have a lot of key injuries this year? I haven't paid attention.
