Not part of any of the Championship teams.

Only on average 4-5 New Orleans players on LSU roster last several years.

SEC teams do not have any New Orleans players this year.

It is a myth and no impact.

LSU has had a horrible offense and running game with Wilson has assistant head coach and running back coach.

It’s a new era. The kids from NOLA can put in their application for employment at LSU along with the best in the nation. NIL will decide not thug High School coaches. Brown bags no longer needed.

NIL and the portal have neutered the importance of having top recruiters on your staff. High School players are saying show me the money.

I believe it’s a combination of 2 NIL/money and relationships, but I think the edge clearly would go to the financial opportunity of going to a school that you probably wanted to go to anyway and to be coached by an NFL great running back. I think it would be very hard for Frank to have the kind of success that he thinks he’s going to have.

What I can see happening is Ole Miss overpaying recruits just to make the point that CFW can have success in New Orleans

The media pumping him up like we need him was hilarious. Mark my words. IF the next big athlete like LF7 comes out of NOLA. He is going to LSU not where Frank Wilson is.

Yeah, his 20 years of coaching college football has left him without any clue. You’re spot on.

RB room has yet to be impressive under him as well. CLK knows that the RB room and trenches are important. I trust his judgement.

Somehow over the years, Frank Wilson has become this legendary character. But we have had plenty of success without him and people just parrot the same tropes that we have to have him to recruit. We are fricking LSU, one dude is not gonna make that much of a difference especially in this era where money to players is out in the open. Let him walk.

Kiffin brought Frank to Tennessee in 2009 and Frank didn’t follow him to USC like the other assistant cucks, Frank went to LSU. Kiffin didn’t like that.

We’ve been signing the best players from New Orleans for the last 100 years. That will continue regardless of who’s on staff because Louisiana kids want to be at LSU, especially if we’re winning.

He was never that great to begin with, and his work as a running back coach sucks

Give me the list of the top New Orleans recruits Saban pulled in his 17 seasons at Alabama.

Can’t believe lsu would stab Frank in the back like that. I would’ve left too.

Not only that, but numbers don’t lie and I think everyone can see the culture of the teams at the time of his departure. He initially joined the staff in 2010 and 2011 happened, but we were an 8-9 win team and the players seemed defeated and had a shitty culture in 2014-2015 when he left for UTSA. Fast forward to 2022, we had 2 solid years and when he had his “guys” fully in the program, we were an 8 or fewer win team with the same defeated culture.

I’m not saying it’s 100% on him, but the vibe this year and in 2015 felt EXACTLY the same. He seems to stoke a negative loser culture after he’s been somewhere for a while IMO

Yea Saban was pillaging north la more than he was Nola.

In the 90s we struggled keeping top talent in state but we were a burning pile of trash in the early 90s

Since then and in our golden era we corrected that.

1. Frank is a by gone era and we can just bring a bigger bag
2. Frank and Julukke arent the only guys that can recruit Nola

It’s clear we needed a complete offense and SC over haul and with a guy like Lane you have to let him make all staff decisions.

Baker managed to shield the d from the lazy BK stench that got the rest of our program

I guess you weren't around in the 90's, or late 80's. The best kids in New Orleans, and the state, were leaving in droves.

Because we sucked and weren’t investing in the program late 80s to early 90s was the low point for us.
