Mark Whipple is a guy who was very highly thought of heading into this year.
I think he's a good fit with Miles and understands the passing game.

he has a national championship under his belt as well. I wouldn't mind him. I liked him at UMass. The guy is successful.

I would be ok with it. We could probably do a little better, but could definitely do worse.

How come Whipple could not develop Japick?

Wasn't he at Ole Miss under Orgeron? Leave him in Florida if its the same guy I'm thinking of.

nah, that's not him. Whipple's been at UMass, an NFL team or 2 (I wanna say Philly and the Steelers?), and the U.
not sure who ran Bebe's outfit.

Harris appears to just be a horrible decision maker. But under Whipple he did throw for over 3,000 yards and 23 TDs last year, along with 17 picks. He threw for over 1600 and 14 TDs in 8 games this year, along with 11 picks.

I really like Whipple's offense. Jacory made him look a lot worse than he actually is.

didn't bebe hire that a-hole guy from miami too? i can't think of his name. not mazzone or werner

Whipple was Big Ben's QB coach for a few years before taking the OC gig at the U. And while JaCory does throw more INT's than he should, he's still been getting 60%, and 250+ ypg, out of Harris for 2 years now. And all out of a very traditional, pro-set type offense.
Combine that with his immediate availability, and I would think he's be a very good hire.

Whipple is the best play action playcaller in the country. He fits miles style.I'd take him.

jacory just seems to either have a horrible arm, or prefers to loft easy balls up to WRs
it's a phsyical thing with jacory. i don't know if JJ would be much better, but a guy like mett or JLee may be
whipple is a proven QB developer on the NFL level, so having him coach up rivers/mett over a couple years could pay off in that respect alone
