I don't live in La. so not my friend, but a conservative, I'll take EVERY DAY over some liberal POS. It is the lack of revenue from oil taxes with the price of crude being down did that to the state - nothing else. The state is too dependent on oil and I bet about 40 percent of the people you know have some job that is connected to the processing of a barrel of crude be it the chemical industry or service industry. Don't worry the Saudis are cutting production which means higher gasoline prices and more revenue from a state that is liberal. When you are older you will become a conservative if you get a job in a plant.
With that said, here is your link to what I referred to about Edwards and the LSU budget. How freaking soon you Libs forget. Go vote again for Clinton. Boom

In a sense, Allevas role is similar to Goodells in that they are the public face for others (the owners in Goodells case) who really drive the ship.

I did. Why are you so angry? Did i say i was a liberal, or that i supported Edwards in any way shape or form? My point was Jindal was the guy running the show last year who verbally spoke up to save Les Miles. Had that not have happened we may have Jimbo as our HC right now. I don't really care if you are left or right or in the middle.
The FACT is Edwards inherited Jindals mess. How they fix it is debatable, which is what the LA legislature is currently working on.

Ultimately your article doesn't really prove your point. It says he said LSU Football would be effected because of budget cuts to the school, and kids not being able to register. So yeah if there is no school there is no football. I get that, but public funding did not play a roll in how much PRIVATE booster money was put in to this "great coaching search/hire".
So Edwards could have effected the University by budget cuts, but technically not the actual pay/hiring/firing of a new head coach as that money is private money. Jindal is the only one of the two governor's on record who intervened in any direct way with the hiring/firing of a new coach.
LA's financial problems have been years upon years in the making, but you blame a guy who inherited those issues for not getting the football coach you wanted when you have no evidence he even had an opinion on the matter.
I don't come on Trant and CCB to talk politics. Take that dumb shite to the poli board. You're really angry and misinformed, if you want to talk about facts concerning the coaching hire let me know. Until then kindly frick off.

The only way any action will be done if the fans don't renew season tickets and the big money boosters stop donating and tell the administration why they will not donate another penny.
